The JOYE 510 is a VERY well known electronic cigarette. It is one of the most recommended ecigarettes made by pro or long term users of ecigs, to newcomers. It is an excellent electronic cigarette, yet there are some pitfalls with this device.

One of the things the “pros” do not tell the newcomers is that it can be really messy to fill your own cartridge with e-Juice (liquid nicotine). It is also difficult to get the right amount. You can end up with a mouthful of liquid nicotine too (spit it out quick & wash your mouth out fast — from one who knows from experience). In addition, liquid nicotine needs to be firmly secured away from ANY small children or pets. Large doses are poisonous! Plus, if the battery or atomizer fails (and they do, they do Not last forever), you will have to replace them at $14.95 per battery and $9.95 per atomizer.

However, the Joye 510 does give an excellent “throat hit” especially if you get the right amount of ejuice in your cartridge. I have several concerns with the Joye 510 that does not make it my favorite which includes the time it takes to fill the cartridges (I finally feel I am doing it right after 6 months!) and it is a “manual” battery, which means you must push a button to activate the atomizer to heat the nicotine solution.

Many times when I am using an electronic cigarette, it is while I am working (typing), and I have it clenched between my teeth. With the Joye 510, I have to stop typing, and manually activate the atomizer. With the best electronic cigarette, Green Smoke, I do Not have to stop typing — it is automatic.
